New Year Celebration – Children`s Matinee at IRIDA Home

A last day of winter vocations is a traditional New Year celebration organized for children at IRIDA Home. Pupils of IRIDA art studios, children of IRIDA artists and members of families in need of the local region – all come with pleasure.
In a book of guests and visitors there are many thankful notes. ‘Dear IRIDA workers, thank you very much for a wonderful feast.’ It is not a first time we come to you. Our children are very happy”.

On the eve of a New Year we always celebrate The IRIDA`s Birthday. We went through one of the most hard year-2011. WE over lived it. We are alive again! Our friendly large family gathered together at a long table covered with home made food . The evening party was accompanied by fashion show (with models) of Tatyana Smirnova. Though the gathering was rather overcrowded it was very joyful.

‘The Art that comes from childhood’, December 2011

The exhibition of Anna Popovich  that took place in a town of Troitsk in Moscow outskirts was a real success. The main themes of her works are inspired by her childhood experience .

Her etchings and drawings are intended mostly for children books and albums. She is an illustrator of folk tales and stories.

“Women`s Summer” (Indian Summer) November 17 – December 28, 2011

A traditional autumn exhibition under the title of “Indian Summer” (or Women`s summer in Russian tradition) was opened in the Union of Russian Women. Side by side with the works of the IRIDA artists the paintings of new-comers were also shown. Some of the new members had already taken part in the outdoor painting sessions organized by IRIDA in Bosnia and Serbia and in the international exhibition staged in the Republic of Korea, France and Spain.
